Download from. Well, here's my funk mix.
As I mentioned in the comments I'm not completely happy with this mix but, sod it, here it is. 58 tracks from funk and soul's big hitters. Plenty of other tunes I could've used so there may be a sequel one day. In the meantime, enjoy.
Download from. Ask and ye shall receive. Been a while since I did an so here's my little tribute to.
I had a bit of time left at the end so I stuck on there as @440's remix basically made that single a hit in the UK. Download from.
Welcome to Breaks Mix #3. It was going to be called Dunfyboy's Funky Breaks Mix due to all these breaks tunes having such a funky sound (and it would have tied in nicely with the upcoming Funk Mix) but I decided just to mess about with the Breaks Mix 2 cover rather than make up a new one.
So here we are. No apologies for re-using 'Feelin Kinda Insane' as this was recorded before the 'Insane Bangers' set. In fact, it was using it here that gave me the idea to do the 'Insane Bangers' mix. Download from. Thanks to all who've taken time to post comments. Although plenty of people are still just leeching fucks.
Anyway, here's another breaks mix. Some new, some not so new. I've had Ils's version of for a while now so I'm happy to finally get it into a mix. Also good to see the boys release a proper breaks remix of The Streets' as I had to just loop the beats from the previous track over the original when I used it on. The mix starts of at a fairly sedate 132 bpm, although the first track, a breaks remix of the old school classic by is playing at +4% to get the speed up.
By the end it's a pretty banging 148bpm. If you like the more banging stuff, check out the mixes by Sketch & Naturally Artificial at the podcast.
Download from. I've posted a few electro and breaks mixes before. Here's one that should keep both camps happy. If you prefer your electro 4-to-the-floor check out my and mixes. If you love your breaks but aren't a fan of electro you might like my, or mixes.
But, back to this mix. There was going to be couple of extra tracks but I ran out of time (I like to keep my mixes under 80 minutes in case anyone wants to burn them to disc). Download from. Seems MyPodcast.com is over whatever problems it was having, so here's a little mix to celebrate. It's the 6 Insane Banger 12's released on, the mash-up bootleg off-shoot, mixed by yours truly. Running time is just over 1/2 an hour, but some of the tracks aren't even 2 minutes long so no complaining! More breaks mixes to come.
In the meantime, enjoy. 01 - Hot Dogg - A Skills v Beatvandals 02 - Insane Banger! - Krafty Skillz 03 - Money Banger - A Skillz v Beatvandals 04 - Flow Banger - Krafty Skillz 05 - Strawberry Jam Forever - A Skillz 06 - Superstar - Krafty Skillz 07 - With You - A Skillz 08 - It's Ya Booty - Krafty Skillz 09 - Another One Beats The Dust - Krafty Skillz 10 - Rock The Spot - A Skillz v Nick Thayer 11 - Beat Don't Stop - A Skillz v Beatvandals 12 - Music Sounds Fatter With U - Krafty Skillz 13 - Another One Bites - Krafty Skillz 14 - Eat My Shorts - A Skillz 15 - $19.99 - A Skillz v Nick Thayer 16 - Feelin Kinda Insane - A Skillz v Beatvandals PS. Insane Bangers 7 has not long been released, but it's called ' instead of 'Insane Bangers 7' so it doesn't make the mix.
And, it's not that good:). Download part 1 from. Download part 2 from. The plan was to make this my longest mix yet on MyPodcast.com, but. With my 40th mix coming up I wanted to do something a little special so I made a double length mix, clocking in at a little under 2 hours 39 minutes (or 2 CDs worth for the old farts out there). The problem (I've just found out) is that MyPodcast only allows podcasts up to 2 hours long. Really should have read that FAQ when I joined up, eh?
Anyway, I've split the mix into 2 so at least you can put it on CDs if you want. This is podcast 39, part 2 will be the actual 40th podcast. If you want to join the files, overlay the last 8 bars of part 1 with the first 8 bars of part 2 (it's in the middle of 'Just A Feeling'). I was going to stick the whole thing as a one-er on Rapidshare or MegaUpload and mail a link to anyone who left a email address in the comments, but as nobody (except Dave, cheers mate) ever leaves comments, fuck it, you'll have to do it yourself. I've posted a few of my old school breakbeat mixes here before. There were the and label mixes along with my and a couple of my other old school mixes have had the odd breakbeat hardcore track. A couple of the tracks from this mix may have appeared elsewhere but where this has happened I've used a different mix or remix this time round, so no 'doublers' here.
The mix starts of at 128bpm and builds steadily to 161bpm. It's around 142 by the split at track 29. Let's Do It - Carl Cox 02. Protien (Get Stuck In Mix) - Sonic Experience 03. 2 Bad Mice - 2 Bad Mice 04. DJs Take Control - SL2 05. Drum Trip - 2 Bad Mice 06.

It should be called 'Electro House Mix 2' as that was the intention when I started this mix, but it sort of loses it's electro edge with 'The Launch', gets it back a bit with 'Something Good' and loses all credibility with ' I Was Made.'
But it does go well with The Cube Guys version of Baba O'Riley so it sneaks in under the wire. 01 - Freak Me On The Dancefloor (Tube & Berger Remix) - Dan Sir 02 - Hustle Up - John Dahlback 03 - Get Down (Rock It Up) (Bass Klep Mix) - Alex Romano 04 - Eat Me (Stefano Pain Alternative Mix) - MPG ft Lady Trisha 05 - Push The Feeling On (Laidback Luke's Stealth Rebeats) - The Nightcrawlers 06 - No Air (Benny Benassi Radio Edit) - Jorin Sparks 07 - Rise! Download from. Despite having just posted a, I'm not a big house fan, but I am partial to a bit of electro house.
Maybe because it's got a bit more oomph than most generic house tracks and dirty basslines like in big beat or nu-skool breaks. So here we are. Download from. Like D&B, House has never been where the heart lies with me. But, like D&B, I have been known to dabble. So here's some house mixes for you. A couple of electro-house mixes coming up, but first a housey-house mix.
Does that make sense? I first heard 'My Life Muzik' by on '7 Live' mix CD.
There, the vocals were laid over 'Enter Lite Exit Nite'. I always loved the start of that mix and always wanted to use 'My Life Muzik' in a mix. Here I've used it with 'Do You Remember House?' By, another vocal heavy track and I'm really pleased with the outcome.
This is followed by two of the biggest and best house tunes ever IMHO. Firstly, 'To Be In Love' from Kenny 'Dope' Gonzalez & Louie Vega under their guise. Next is 'Finally'. Excellent vocals on both of these tunes from India & Julie McKnight respectively. Then there's some more stuff:-) Enjoy. Download from. Worst mix ever.
No, not really, but it's been a pain in the arse. You know what it's like, I'm sure it's happened to everyone; you finish a mix just before you go abroad to watch your footy team get humped by a 2nd division Swedish outfit in a UEFA cup qualifier. 'I'll write down the tracklist when I get back. It'll still be fresh in my mind'.
Bollocks you will. 9 months later you decide to post the mix to your podcast and think 'Shit! No tracklist!' So, having spent this morning swearing a lot, and this afternoon listening to hundreds of tunes and going 'No, that's not it' or 'That's the right tune, but not the right mix', here it is, complete with the fucking tracklist. Hope it was worth the effort. I've never been a huge fan of Jungle or Drum & Bass, but a lot of rave and early hardcore tracks had jungle elements in them so there's always been some I liked.
It seemed to me that most jungle producers & DJs seemed to concentrate so hard on the breakbeat they forgot to put a decent tune in there too. Anyway, mid-nineties I gave up on D&B and stuck to hardcore & happy hardcore, but always sort of drifted back every once in a while, like in 1998 when I heard ' on 'Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels', version of 'Carolina Carol Bela' in 2002, or when released 'Hold Your Colour' in 2005. So, here it is. Some tunes from way back, some more up to date. Download from. It's a breaks mix. What else is there to say?

I'm sure the neighbours enjoyed me coming in at 6 in the morning and blasting this out. It was going to be a mix, but once I got started it sort of veered off course slightly.

I'm going to upload a few of my beats and breaks mixes today. First up, my big beat mix (you know, the fun bit in between head-nodding trip hop and early nu-skool breaks which took itself far too seriously). Turns into a bit of a Apollo 440-fest at the end, but hey, it's my mix.
I can do what I like:-) Maybe I'll do a proper @440 mix one day. Enjoy, and remember, if you've enough time to download the mix, you've enough time to leave a comment. Download from. I'm sure there's quite afew people who have done a mix of their favourite tunes. Like my Fatboy Slim mix, I knocked this up a while ago and, as I wasn't that keen on the last album, I never bothered to update it. I remember hearing the Chems on Bonus Beats radio show back in the mid 90s (they may have even still been called The Dust Brothers at the time) and I just thought 'WTF is this?'
Their sound was so different from anything else I'd heard. Obviously, I really thought 'What the fuck is this?'
Because back then I didn't know WTF 'WTF' stood for:) There seemed to be new, fresh sound revolutions happening all the time back then. Am I getting old or was music better back then? God, I sound like my dad. Anyway, enjoy, and comments please. Where Do I Begin 2. Leave Home 3.

I'm sure you'll notice there's very little in the way of his recent stuff, partly because I recorded this mix a while ago and partly because he sucks now IMO. Never mind 'I'm #1 so why try harder', I don't think he tries at all these days. Anyway, here's my mix featuring 30 tracks from when he was great plus remix of 303. Enjoy, and comments welcome. Everybody Needs A 303 (Plump DJs Remix). Download from. Typically late, here's my 6th trance mix. It'll probably be my last trance mix for a while, though I am toying with the idea of a 'chilled' trance mix (you know the sort of thing, those beatless remixes you sometimes find on the B-sides of 12's). I've also got a beatless version of 'Strings Of Life' but I've never used it in a mix so I don't know how it will turn out.
I've never used any of the beatless trance remixes either for that matter so it may not come about, but you never know. I've got a few mixes i've already recorded as mp3s; big beat, breaks, eclectic stuff, even a mix featuring a load of 70s funk. I'll probably upload these before worrying about any more new mixes. In the meantime, enjoy my trance mix #6. Download from. I've made coverart for Trance Mix 6 but I haven't recorded it yet. Who knows, I might get round to it.
In the meantime, here's Trance mix 5, kicking off with Plank 15's interpretation of Rhythm Is Rhythm classic 'Strings Of Life'. If you've never heard it, the piano from the original is replaced with a guitar. And it works! Download from. To borrow from Loop Control, some exceptionally beautiful music in this mix.
Unless you're not into trance music. In which case you're kinda in the wrong place. Download from. Sorry for ending another mix with 'The Orange Theme' but it's one of my favourites.

Which I don't (cos I can't be bothered renaming the source mp3s and the artworks already done). Maybe I should have saved my Platipus mix til the end.
Anyway, first of 5 trance mixes for you, no 'all-by-the-same-artist' or 'just-one-label' nonsense, just quality trance tracks. This mix features some newer tracks and some newer remixes of tracks from the late 90s and early 00s. The majority of my trance stuff is late 90s/early 00s but the odd new track creeps in ocassionaly and some really are old school (especially so in Mix #2). Download from. Taking a bit of a break from old school now, though some of these tracks would certainly qualify due to their age. At the start of the month I said I would upload some of my trance mixes and, better late than never, here they are. First up is my mix of my favourites tunes from one of my favourite trance labels: Platipus.
Platipus have released a few 'Best of' mixes but they always missed out on some of my favs so I decided to make my own. Of course, my mix may miss out some of your favs, but you could always make your own I suppose:) 01 - Easter Island - Art Of Trance 02 - Gloria (Transparent Mix) - Art Of Trance 03 - Madagascar (Cygnus X Mix) - Art Of Trance 04 - Cactus - Union Jack 05 - The Wolf - Terra Ferma 06 - Breathe - Art Of Trance 07 - The Adventures Of. Download from. Another 'old-school-to-modern-day' artist mix. Leftfield probably don't spring to mind when talking about old school, but 'Not Forgotten' was 1st released in 1990, so that qualifies them (in my mind at least).
They're probably as unjustified to be called modern day as 'Rhythm & Stealth' was realeased 9 years ago. Doesn't time fly? My first Leftfield mix was the first I recorded as an MP3. It only featured 8 tracks and ran to about half an hour so I've redone it with more tracks and it now comes in at just over the hour mark. BPMs range from the low 70s to the mid 140s so it was a bit of a challange. 01 - Melt 02 - Original 03 - Dusted 04 - Inspection (Check One) 05 - Release The Pressure 06 - Open Up 07 - Song Of Life 08 - Cut For Life 09 - Afro-Ride 10 - Afrika Shox 11 - Dub Gussett 12 - Not Forgotten 13 - Phat Planet 14 - Space Shanty 15 - Black Flute 16 - Storm 3000 17 - Release The Pressure (Release One) 18 - Release The Pressure (Release Four). Old school breakbeat hardcore mix. I was just going to do a little mix using Slipmatt's SMD 12's but it only ran to about 1/2 an hour so I dug into the Hectic Records back catalogue and finished off with some Slammin Vinyl tracks from DJ Red Alert & Mike Slammer including, of course, 'In Effect', hence the stupid mix name. 01 - SMD #1 A - SMD 02 - SMD #2 AA - SMD 03 - SMD #1 AA - SMD 04 - SMD #2 A - SMD 05 - SMD #3 AA - SMD 06 - SMD #4 A - SMD 07 - SMD #3 A - SMD 08 - SMD #4 AA - SMD 09 - Summertime Vibe '94 (The North End Mix) - Druid & Vinylgroover 10 - Got to Believe (Heaven Mix) - Ramos, Supreme & Sunset Regime 11 - Crowd Control - Ramos & Supreme 12 - Sunshine - Ramos, Supreme & Sunset Regime 13 - Groove Control - Midas 14 - The Journey - Ramos & Supreme 15 - Are You Ready - Sy & Unknown 16 - Tune! - The Eliminators 17 - The Anthem - Sy & Unknown 18 - Real Love - Sy & Unknown 19 - Kounter Attack - Druid & Vinylgroover 20 - I've Got the Music - Ramos, Supreme & Sunset Regime 21 - In Effect (Slipmatt Remix) - DJ Red Alert & Mike Slammer 22 - Bad Boy - DJ Red Alert & Mike Slammer 23 - The Ride - DJ Red Alert & Mike Slammer 24 - Let's Do It - DJ Red Alert & Mike Slammer 25 - Walking On Sunshine - DJ Red Alert & Mike Slammer. I used to mix it into N-Trance's 'Set You Free' as it also had rain in the background, but I think it works well with the opening chords of 'Hardcore Uproar' too.
Although i've listed this mix as 'rave', half the tracks are more what I'd call old school house. I was messing about with a rave mix, a house mix and an Italian house mix but gave up and stuck them all into one mix. Wasn't it better when you could mix anything with anything else anyway? 01 - Tears In Rain - Rutger Hauer 02 - Hardcore Uproar - Together 03 - Is There Anybody Out There?
